Built with a solid spruce top, mahogany sides, and arched mahogany back, the full-bodied and powerful tone of this Guild dreadnought provides guitarists with a classic acoustic sound and balanced voicing. Guild’s signature arched back design allows for great volume and projection, long sustain, and a lush, full sound. The D-240E features Guild’s Fishman-designed AP-1 electronics, a pau ferro fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, mother-of-pearl rosette, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard, and a matte polyurethane finish. Us lefties have few options to pick from in the retail world, so we have to be more discerning than most when it comes to buying a new guitar. I did ample research before deciding on my next acoustic purchase and this one seemed like the best bang for buck. All I can say is Wow. I could not be happier with the guitar, its build or its sound. Where some guitars feel like a decent buy that might last a decade or so, this one feels like a lifelong investment. Now I know why so many others decide to go Guild.
